This was taken just after our Mum died. He was fourteen and I was twelve and it was impossible to rationalize that someone we’d had a very strong love for had been taken away. As soon as Paul picked up the guitar, he’d go into a world of his own. It was his way of getting on with life. With me, it was taking pictures.
